Rita Czamanske
Rita Czamanske began her training with Esther in 1995. After three years of study, she earned her certification in Aplomb®, and since then has been training and refining her skills in the Gokhale MethodSM. An avid runner, Rita began competing in 5 and 10 km road races and later in National Masters and Senior Championship Track meets. When she hung up her track shoes after 10 years of age-graded competition, she had earned National and world-class ranking in the 800 meters, and had helped set a world age-group record in the 4 x 400 m relay. However, years of carrying her four children on one hip, and improper stretching form over the years of running had led to a host of pain issues: back problems at L5, numbness in her left leg, low back and sciatic pain. Since learning healthy posture and movement from Esther, her back pain has disappeared and her L5 problem no longer requires regular treatment. She is now enjoying an active retirement, after 18 years as an Executive Assistant to top-level managers: playing tennis, skiing, and backpacking with her husband, spending time outdoors with her grandchildren and step-grandchildren, and exploring Choreocomos dance and non-falling Aikido. Rita is delighted to be an Instructor in the Gokhale MethodSM. From personal experience, she understands the positive impact healthy posture can have on life, regardless of age, and believes the work is essential for an active life free of pain.
